Our story
“Is this really supposed to continue for another 25 years?”
Maren came from more than 25 years at a major bank, Achim from self-employment. What both of us were missing was the same thing: more time and more freedom to live. In 2008 an idea came into our lives that simply made us curious at first – we didn’t know it yet, but we were open enough to give it a try.
Step by step, something grew out of it that changed our lives. People joined, conversations happened, a network grew. And suddenly we realised that something was developing that no longer depended only on our own working hours.
In 2013 Maren was able to quit her bank job, a year later Achim followed. What would once have sounded completely crazy suddenly felt right. Since then we shape our own time, work with people who are also looking for more possibilities, and travel a lot.
What fulfils us most is connecting people and showing them new possibilities. Because making others happy makes you happy. Quite simply.
Today we keep meeting lovely people who ask us to show them our approach. Gladly: read the book – and if it makes you curious, we’ll answer every question. Completely location-independent; all we need is an internet connection.
