This book gives you an honest look at referral marketing. It shows you how, step by step, something of your own can grow from personal experiences and genuine recommendations – as an attitude, as a connection between people, and as a way to let income arise in a new way.

Maybe it isn’t the right path for everyone. But maybe it’s worth getting to know this perspective calmly, just once.

Where I come from and why I think differently today

I was born in 1962. My father was self-employed and there was never a shortage of money at home. That’s why money was never a driving force for me – it was simply there. What was often missing, though, was time together.

At school I saw little point in trying especially hard. I tried out many jobs and changed often. At the same time I was looking for one thing above all: freedom. Time with friends and family had always been more important to me than money.

So I eventually ended up on the assembly line, painting cars. Back then it paid well. But it was exactly during that time that questions came up for the first time that I had long pushed aside: What about my future? What about retirement and security?

For a few years I lived like that, until it became clear to me: if I keep going down this path, I stay replaceable. Always dependent, always controlled by others …
